Gawler River Restoration Guide
The Gawler River / Kadlitpari Restoration Guide, is a new resource developed to support councils, land managers, and other partners in revitalising the Gawler River—an important waterway that serves nature, people, and food production.
Known as Kadlitpari (Wild Dog or Dingo River), the Gawler River, along with the South Para River, holds profound cultural significance for the Kaurna people, the Traditional Owners and Native Title Holders of this region.
The guide offers practical strategies and guidance on the restoration and biodiversity conservation opportunities that exist in the area. Together, we can work towards creating a thriving Gawler River, preserving this iconic landscape and protecting its unique cultural heritage for generations to come.
Green Adelaide provides rural landholder support and advice on sustainable land management, remnant vegetation protection and pest plant and animal control. Contact your local Landscapes Officer via Council on 8256 0333.
