Sheedy Road Upgrade

You’ll find on this page:

Sheedy Road in Virginia commenced on 27 January between Old Port Wakefield Road and O’Loughlin Road to make travel easier for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.

These works will lift the road to an urban standard, delivering a new smooth surface and upgraded infrastructure including footpaths, street lighting, kerbing and stormwater systems.

The project is expected to be completed in late winter 2026.

Experience during construction

Some temporary disruption is expected during construction, with detours via Park Road and traffic management measures in place to keep the community moving safely.
