Stretton Centre

The Stretton Centre is an initiative constructed by City of Playford, University of Adelaide and Renewal SA. It is a revolutionary, world-class collaborative workspace designed to foster innovation and develop networks that support growth in the region.

Architecturally stunning as a building and in its location—overlooking the Playford Alive town park—the flexible spaces at Stretton can be tailored to suit the needs of business, with free business support available, including access to the latest grants and funding on offer.

One Tree Hill Institute

Established in 1906, the One Tree Hill Institute is managed by the One Tree Hill Progress Association. Local fundraising thanks to Council grants doubled the size of the original building during the 1980s and 1990s, as an extension was built using materials closely matching the original stonework.

Today, the Institute boasts a fully enclosed playground, modern restrooms and landscaping surrounding the building, generously funded by a donation that was given to the Institute by the Clucas family.

Now a well-equipped building catering a variety of functions, the Institute is a valuable asset to all residents in One Tree Hill and surrounding suburbs.

Northern Sound System

The Northern Sound System (NSS) is the City of Playford’s Youth Music and Multimedia Centre, located at 73 Elizabeth Way, Elizabeth. NSS uses music to engage with young people, building on the rich musical history of Adelaide’s northern suburbs.

NSS is a truly innovative community facility. Nationally, there are other youth engagement facilities, as well as council-supported music programs, with live music venues and recording studios found in every city. But to combine these things in one place is rare - and it also offers a 300-person purpose-built venue, live-recording facility, rehearsal space, and music and digital training all in the one place

Learn more about the services, events and projects offered by the Northern Sound System, or listen to and learn more about the sounds being made at N1Records, by visiting the NSS website on the link below.
