Wheels in Motion
The Wheels in Motion program supports young people to overcome one of the key barriers to training and employment: obtaining a driver’s license.
The program provides supervised driving opportunities for young people who may be socially or economically disadvantaged, particularly those who do not have access to a suitable vehicle or a licensed supervising driver.
By supporting participants to complete their required logbook driving hours, Wheels in Motion helps young people progress towards their provisional driver’s license and greater independence.
Wheels in Motion is coordinated by Council and delivered by a dedicated team of trained volunteer driver mentors.
The program is proudly supported by a community partnership with local business Rebel Ford, who have demonstrated their strong commitment to community outcomes by providing Council with the use of a Ford Puma passenger vehicle for the program.
