Support and Social
At the heart of the City of Playford are its people. Council actively encourages residents to connect with their wider community.
Regular exercise helps you live longer and keeps you fit and healthy, both mentally and physically. The City of Playford partners with organisations such as Live Life Get Active, Anglicare SA and the Roger Rasheed Foundation to provide free fitness activities in our parks, reserves and playgrounds.
While the City of Playford has traditionally been home to many migrants from the British Isles, in recent decades that trend has slowed. Now the City of Playford is home to many people whose country of birth may be found in the Middle East, Africa or Asia, as well as Europe and Britain.
The Playford 10 project is about connecting children to ongoing activities. The project team works within schools with Year 4/5 students to identify their individual talents and strengths and link them into sports, arts or volunteering activities in their community.
Elizabeth Rise Program Events
The Elizabeth Rise Community Centre hosts a variety of local programs for residents in surrounding areas to learn, enjoy and develop their skills in a friendly welcoming environment.
Grenville Program Events
