City of Playford is seeking expressions of interest from people with knowledge and experience of disability to become a member of the Access and Social Inclusion Advisory Group (ASIAG). ASIAG members will contribute ideas and advice towards the progression and achievement of projects and actions within the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) across City of Playford to support an inclusive and accessible community.

The ASIAG is made up of interested community members who live, work, learn or play within the City of Playford who have:

• A commitment to and awareness of disability access and inclusion issues in the local area

• A passion for positive change

• Willingness to share your thoughts and ideas on relevant matters that support the inclusion of people with disability.

As an ASIAG member, your details will be included on a database and we will invite you to participate and collaborate in activities like surveys, workshops, interviews and focus groups throughout the year. You can choose how much you want to be involved depending on your interest, lived experience, skills, knowledge and time available.

Training is available for those who would like to learn more about advocacy and develop their leadership skills in this area.

We welcome and actively encourage applications that will contribute towards the diversity of the group. This includes people with different experiences of disability, from different age groups, cultural backgrounds, gender identities and sexual orientation.
