Playford tracks a range of metrics to how we are performing from year to year, and beyond. This can range from how satisfied our residents are, through to how quickly we deal with customer requests, even how much satisfaction our own employees report through working for the City of Playford.
By-laws are local laws established by Council to deal with issues specific to the area. Council creates by-laws which can include prevention of nuisances, controlling animals, activities dangerous to health, pollution of water, risk of disease, and protecting the health and comfort of residents.
Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information Act 1991 provides a legally-enforceable right of access to documents within South Australian state and local government’s possession. The purpose of Freedom of Information is to make the business of government and Council open, transparent and accountable.
Policies and Guidelines
Policies and guidelines have been approved by Council and form the backbone of our operations, guiding us on how we manage our volunteers, how often we collect kerbside waste, the rules around building private swimming pools, through to how flags are displayed at Council-owned facilities.
