In rural properties or townships where sewer connections aren’t available, each property must have an on-site wastewater system that can receive and treat the wastewater in a manner that doesn’t cause a risk to the health of people or the environment.
Council rates are a form of property tax levied by local governments, which are used to fund services and infrastructure for use by visitors, residents and ratepayers.
Driveways and Kerbs
Generally, a provision for a driveway is included when a housing estate is developed, along with other infrastructure such as roads, footpaths, electricity, water and sewerage.
‘Nuisance’ can take many forms in the community. Some of these issues fall under Council by-laws, while others will be pursued by other authorities.
