Ordinary Council meetings are held in the Council Chambers at the Playford Civic Centre on the 4th Tuesday of each month. These meetings are open to the public and media (including disabled access to the public gallery).
Ordinary Council Meetings
The Ordinary Council governs by representing the interests of ratepayers and residents, in accordance with specific roles and powers defined by the Local Government Act 1999.
Special Council Meetings
There may be times where urgent business is required to be addressed by Council. These meetings may be held at any time, and are held in addition to the monthly Ordinary Council meetings.
City of Playford sponsors and supports a range of committees tasked with providing recommendations to Council, some with delegated authority to make decisions.
Designated Informal Gatherings
Informal Gatherings are an opportunity for Elected Members to exchange information, ideas and or attend training that relates to Council business.
Deputations and Petitions
Members of the community are able to present to Council and committees by requesting a deputation. Petitions are also able to be tabled at Council meetings.
External Boards and Representation
Council appoints Elected Members to sit on boards and advisory committees as official representatives of Council.
