City Infrastructure and Maintenance
Council is responsible for the installation of new footpaths and the maintenance of existing footpaths on local streets or reserve areas.
Council has a commitment to a zero net loss of street trees - if we remove one, we replace it somewhere in the city.
City of Playford has almost 700km of urban verges and 630km of rural roadsides that are maintained by Playford's operational staff as part of programmed mowing programs.
Signs, Streetlights and Underground Services
From streetlights to signage, electricity and water services to bus shelters, a lot of infrastructure goes into the making of a busy City.
Roadworks and Road Closures
Council is committed to providing the best local road network possible, with minimal disruptions to drivers. To achieve this goal, from time to time Council-owned roads may be closed, or have traffic reduced, in order to install upgrades to the surface.
Roads and Transport
The road that runs past your house is managed either by City of Playford, or the South Australian Government, depending on where it is. The City of Playford is responsible for making sure Council-owned roads are in good condition and safe for traffic-flow through our City.
