Free come-and-try sports sessions are on again this October school holidays.

Kids are encouraged to come and try a range of sports at their local club as part of the Growing for Gold program that will be held in the October school holidays.

The free program is designed to introduce kids aged 3 to 16 to a variety of sports, in a safe and encouraging environment, with a range of sporting clubs across Playford hosting free come-and-try session.

From cricket to athletics, karate to badminton and soccer to golf, Growing for Gold is designed for all abilities and skill levels, with the only prerequisite a willingness to get involved and have a go. The all-inclusive program helps break down barriers that may exist when it comes to young people trying a new sport for the first time.

Registrations are now open via the Growing for Gold website - www.growingforgold.com.au

All registered participants will receive a certificate of participation, with any young person who goes on to join a participating club (within a set period) will receive a voucher to assist in the purchase of apparel, shoes or equipment that can assist in starting their chosen sport.

Growing for Gold is a partnership between the Cities of Playford, Port Adelaide Enfield and Salisbury.
