Get your applications in now! The Financial Support round is officially open and ready for your amazing project ideas. Applications close Friday, 15 August, 5pm.

Applications are now open for the City of Playford Grant and Support Program - Financial Support to assist community organisations kick-start programs or activities which help local residents to thrive.

The Financial Support category is now open to eligible community organisations with a project that aims to increase social inclusion and participation for residents living in the City of Playford, as well as promote health and wellbeing outcomes for the community.

Community groups are encouraged to put forward applications for start-up funding, financial support for day-to-day operations of a service or funding for a new program within a current service.

Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty believes consistently providing financial support to our many community groups is another important way Playford shows a strong commitment to its non-profit organisations and associations that contribute to making our city a vibrant and stimulating place for people to thrive.

“Providing funding for these projects will provide residents and new visitors to our great city with fantastic events and crucial support programs which will only strengthen our community long term,” Mayor Docherty said.

“Financial support provides opportunities for community groups to access resources which bring about positive change and enhance our existing community events and programs.”

Previous successful applicants include Playford Winter Shelter, Operation Flinders Foundation, Munno Para Little Athletics, Elizabeth Life Saving Club, Adelaide Community Basketball Association and Hands of Hope Foundation.

A funding pool of $100,000 is available for applications for the 2025/26 financial year. Funding support can be offered to the successful applicant/s each year for a period of up to three years.

As part of ongoing improvements to the Community Support and Grant Program the SmartyGrants online portal officially launched on 30 June and has become a new online tool available for applicants.

Guidelines can be downloaded at cdn.playford.sa.gov.au/general-downloads/Current-Guidelines.pdf and the application form can be submitted online at playford.smartygrants.com.au/FinancialSupport25.

There is also a Help Guide for applicants and Frequently Asked Questions Guide available and other grant and support information can be accessed via playford.sa.gov.au/community/get-involved/grants-and-funding.
