- SOLD OUT: Free family fun takes off at Little Rockets Play Cafe
With three bookable sessions throughout the day, the café will be transformed into a hub of family-friendly activity — featuring interactive play zones, virtual reality experiences and creative take-home crafts. Entry is free for both children and adults, with tickets available at Eventbrite from Friday 23 May.
As the event is being hosted on a Friday, school-aged children are encouraged to join the final session after school pick-up.
Mayor Glenn Docherty said the event is one of the many ways Council is helping to bring the community together through fun, low-cost opportunities that support local families.
“This is about more than just a great day out — it’s about creating welcoming spaces where parents can connect with other parents, kids can play and our community can start to form a supportive local network,” Mayor Docherty said.
“Council is committed to providing accessible events like this, especially for young families looking for affordable ways to get out, meet others and enjoy our city.”
The Little Rockets event is part of Council’s broader community activation program, which focuses on creating vibrant, inclusive experiences across Playford’s neighbourhoods.
Bookings are required, with the following sessions available to choose from (only one session per family):
• 9:00 am to 11:00 am
• 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
• 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Children must be accompanied by an adult (at least 18 years or over) for the entirety of their play session.
