Community Centres
Playford Civic Centre
Home to the iconic Shedley Theatre, the Shedley Cafe and Theatre Bar, Playford Library, City of Playford Customer Care Centre and Council Chambers, the Playford Civic Centre is always abuzz with movement and laughter.
The Playford Civic Centre is located on Playford Boulevard in Elizabeth, and sits adjacent to Prince George Plaza and Grenville Hub in the Elizabeth CBD.
Each year the Shedley Theatre welcomes a number of high-profile acts, long-time resident theatre groups and local schools, while the Shedley Cafe and Theatre Bar is open Monday to Friday as well as during show nights and special events.
The Playford Civic Centre also offers meeting spaces while the Great Hall is often home to displays and exhibitions of local art and design.

Elizabeth Rise Community Centre
The Elizabeth Rise Community Centre partners with local organisations to offer a wide range of community programs, activities, and events that bring people together. Our initiatives are designed to strengthen community connection, encourage participation, and support the wellbeing of everyone in the Playford area. We aim to create a warm, inclusive space where community members can learn, socialise, and feel supported.
Alongside our programs, the Centre provides several free on‑site amenities to make the space even more accessible and welcoming, including free Wi‑Fi, two quiet offices available for study or appointments, a computer for public use, and a free pool table for social connection and fun.

Marni Waiendi
Our Marni Waiendi facility engages with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and provides assistance, support and advocacy to increase the participation of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in programs across the City of Playford.
The facility also provides a culturally appropriate Aboriginal transitions centre to provide services to Indigenous community members with information and referrals to assist access to a range of mainstream and Indigenous specific services.

Grenville Hub
Located in Prince George Plaza, in the heart of the Elizabeth CBD, the Grenville Hub is a welcoming and vibrant place that provides a broad range of services and activities which encourage and promote lifelong learning, physical activity, healthy living and enjoyment.
The Grenville Hub is open from 8.45am to 5pm Monday to Friday - closed on Public Holidays.
Activities are open to all adults and can include but are not limited to:
- Fitness and exercise activities
- Café, dining, and takeaway meal service
- Social groups and activities
- Daytime and evening events
- Links to services and information
- Home Assist services
- Community Passenger Network
- Providing linkages and support for people over 65 year who received funding through Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)

Northern Sound System (NSS)
The Northern Sound System (NSS) is a youth-focused facility dedicated to the Music and Creative Industries located in the heart of Elizabeth, SA.

John McVeity Centre
The John McVeity Centre, located at 182 Peachey Rd, Smithfield Plains, plays an important role in the local community. It is a place that supports health and wellbeing and provides opportunities for people to come together and connect socially. Please contact the JMC for opening hours (hours vary depending on session times).

The Precinct
The Precinct is a community hub offering spaces to meet and learn with community wellbeing at its heart. Various services include:
