Munno Para Wetlands

Designed to intercept stormwater drainage from Smith Creek and the Craigmore Road drain, this site is located near the corner of Curtis Road and Coventry Road, Munno Para.

In addition to stormwater harvesting, this site has been designed as a focal point for open space, recreational and environmental activities close to the new Playford North development.

  • Stormwater runoff from an existing developed urban catchment of 790 Ha and rural catchment of 1790 Ha
  • Wetland area = 5 Ha
  • Total site area = 8 Ha
  • Treated water flowrate = 96 litres/second
  • Total annual volume harvested = 660 ML
