A new digital experience for local residents and visitors is here with the launch of the My Playford mobile application.

The new app allows for users to become better connected to the community with access to Council information and services thanks to the City of Playford.

City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty said Council was committed to providing the best delivery of customer service.

“The development of this mobile app now means our community has easy access to our services around the clock,” Mayor Docherty said.

“We all have busy lives and as a Council it important for us to provide accessible information, and this is another way of doing just that.”

The app, developed by Council’s website partner, Simple Integrated Marketing, differs from other Council applications with the range of new functions available at the users’ fingertips.

Offering a truly immersive experience, the app allows users to map their next adventure at one of the beautiful local parks and explore the city’s colourful street art features.

Residents can stay up to date with local news and events to never skip a beat with what’s happening in their community.

Everyday tasks such as setting bin date reminders, paying rates and submitting a customer request to Council have also been made easier with these functions available at a click of a button.

My Playford app sets the standards for mobile applications and user experience across Local Government,” Mayor Docherty said.
