Published 17 April 2020
This week we share our plans to mark Anzac Day 2020. We have plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained these school holidays and the first stage of the Virginia Main Street Upgrade is about to commence.

Anzac Commemorations from home

We might not be able to come together to commemorate our past and present servicemen and women this year, but this doesn’t stop us from paying our respects and we invite you to join us.

Read how we are marking Anzac Day 2020 in our Anzac Commemorations at home article.

School holiday activities

Now the kids are officially on school holidays, we have some FREE activities to enjoy their break.

Isolate and regenerate

It’s time to isolate and regenerate with some bath melt and face mask kits to keep the kids busy and relaxed all at the same time.

These kits are aimed for ages between 10 and 18 years and will bring all that peace, relaxation and positivity you need during this time.

Kits are limited and only available for order and collect. To order a kit for your young one please contact our Youth Development Officer, Nina, at nswinkels@playford.sa.gov.au or call 8256 0102.

Become TikTok famous

Is your teenager working on becoming TikTok famous during the school holidays? Well we have just the challenge for them to boost their career.

Glitter by BENEE is the TikTok dance challenge we’re putting to them.

The most creative version of this challenge will be in the running to win bragging rights, plus promoted on our channels to gain more followers, and receive a Bluetooth selfie remote stick and tripod (valued at $60) to up their TikTok game.

All they have to do is submit their TikTok video by 26 April to nswinkels@playford.sa.gov.au or for further information call 8256 0102.

Thanks to all of our customers for supporting the Healthy Food Co's new operating model at our Smithfield site over the past couple of weeks.

In order to continue to provide an efficient service to the community, the Healthy Food Co is making one small change.

It's opening hours at The Precinct will be reducing to 10am to 3pm in order to give the team time to process orders and restock ready for each day. The Elizabeth Downs site remains closed.

Tried & Tested with Northern Sound System

Kate is back again for another episode and this time she is searching for her "Star is Born" moment.

Yes, she is singing! Yes, she is singing out of key! And yes, she sincerely apologies for this!

But it's all in the name of fun and showcasing the awesome online programs Northern Sound System is offering during isolation.

Every Monday and Thursday, the team at NSS is jumping on their Facebook page live to provide their two feature programs of Check 1,2 and Bangers and Mashups.

It's the same service in a new kind of normal.
