Marni Waiendi

The City of Playford / Marni Waiendi engages with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and provides assistance, support and advocacy to increase the participation of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in programs across the City of Playford.

Marni Waiendi - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Transition Centre provides a culturally appropriate Aboriginal transitions centre to provide services to Indigenous community members with information and referrals to assist access to a range of mainstream and Indigenous specific services through:

  • Advocacy / breaking down regional perception barriers of Aboriginal people
  • Assist with the development of Aboriginal programs and services with local service providers and agencies
  • Creation of a community environment that values and delivers targeted engagement level programs
  • Develop and promote appropriate quality programs for ATSI community in the Northern areas.

Marni Waiendi is funded by the City of Playford, FACHSIA, Playford Alive and DCSI.
