Shade Tree Subsidy - Frequently Asked Questions

What if I want to purchase a tree that costs more than $50?

Residents can purchase a tree that costs more than $50, by paying the difference between the value of the voucher and the cost of the tree to the nursery directly.

Are cash refunds available for remaining value if I don’t spend the full $50?

There are no cash refunds.

Can I purchase more than one tree?

Vouchers are strictly limited to one per household.

If two trees add up to $50 together, they can be purchased with the voucher. As long as the trees meet the minimum requirements (200m diameter pot size and minimum height at maturity of at least 3 metres).

Can I purchase anything else (other than another tree) with the balance of my voucher if my tree costs less than $50?
