The City of Playford owns and is responsible for the management, operation and maintenance of a diverse asset portfolio that provides a range of services, programs and facilities for our community.
The Asset Management Plan outlines what work needs to be done to maintain assets and when it needs to happen. Playford's assets include roads, footpaths, sporting grounds, parks, water infrastructure, school and pedestrian crossings, and Council buildings. The value of these asset components runs into the millions of dollars.
The Capital Works Program includes projects managed completely by Council as well as Partnership Projects that rely on grants from the State and Federal Government.
The Capital Works Program is developed from the strategies agreed by Council as part of the Annual Business Planning process, which includes consultation of the Playford residents. The program is designed to meet our community's infrastructure needs and demands of future development and to support projected population growth in Playford.
