If you are a business looking to grow and develop, Playford’s Stretton Centre could be the place for you. ^ Ben Builder, of electrical contractors BT Group, recommends working with the Stretton Centre to build your business. Photo: Rob McLean When BT Group decided to grow its dynamic and innovative electrical contracting business, owners Ben Builder and Tim Comley knew that the Stretton Centre could help them facilitate the process.
The pair merged their individual businesses to form BT Group in July last year, building a formidable operation that provides a fresh and professional approach to commercial, industrial and residential electrical work.
Ben said BT Group provides service and expertise different to that provided by other contractors.
“We’re not your run-of-the-mill sparkies,” he said.
“We’re trying to offer the best services we can…and offer 24-hour service for emergency call outs.”
The business does all the basic residential electrical jobs but also specialises in data communications and smart-home technology.
In the industrial field BT Group has worked with several poultry farms to automate their operations.
BT Group employs four electricians, three apprentices and office staff, four of whom have been employed since July.
Integral to the business’ ongoing growth has been a co-worker arrangement with the Stretton Centre.
The Stretton Centre, based at Munno Para, provides co-workers low-cost office solutions as well as training and learning opportunities and chances to collaborate with other developing businesses.
There are also reciprocal arrangements in place with similar facilities across the state, allowing the flexibility to be based in northern, CBD or southern locations.
The Stretton Centre provides an opportunity for businesses in the north to develop and grow.
Ben said the Stretton Centre has provided BT Group with excellent opportunities, allowing it to develop its image and a corporate look that reflects the vision of its owners.
“We would definitely recommend the Stretton Centre to other people wanting to use the space,” Ben said.
“The Stretton staff are always trying to help as much as possible…and you’ve also got the option to collaborate with other people starting a business and wanting to help you and see you succeed.”
The Stretton Centre provides modern office spaces, meeting rooms and other facilities that allow a business to focus on their core operations, whilst leveraging learning opportunities and leap-frogging hurdles that can inhibit operational growth.
