- Positive Futures Expo just around the corner
The City of Playford will again host the Positive Futures Expo on Wednesday 27 May
2026, for people living with disability to explore opportunities in work, learning,
independence and community life.
Held from 10am to 3pm at the Playford Civic Centre, Elizabeth, the annual event is
designed to connect attendees with practical information, local services and
opportunities to support their personal and professional goals.
The Positive Futures Expo has become an important event for the community, helping
people living with disability explore new pathways, while also learning more about
NDIS and other support services.
Mayor Glenn Docherty said the expo reflects the City of Playford’s continued
commitment to creating inclusive opportunities for everyone in the community.
“The Positive Futures Expo is about empowering people living with disability to explore
what’s possible — whether that’s finding work, continuing education or building
independence and celebrating their abilities,” Mayor Docherty said.
“It’s fantastic to see so many organisations come together to support our community
through this event in a practical and meaningful way.”
With a wide range of exhibitors and service providers in one place, the expo offers
attendees the chance to discover their strengths, build confidence and access
information that can help shape their future.
A highlight of this year’s event is the opportunity to experience immersive virtual reality
job interview simulations and virtual career experiences designed to build confidence
and help attendees feel prepared for the next step in their journey.
The City of Playford is proud to work alongside local businesses, schools, community
organisations and service providers to deliver the expo each year, with social
enterprise food vendors Pete’s Tasty Treats and Archer and Alice also on site at this
year’s event.
This year’s Gold Sponsor is The RED Group, while Silver Sponsors are Luminous
Care, Windamere Park, Plan Partners, Government of South Australia - Office for
Autism, Para Ability Community Care and DLi. Bronze Sponsors are Always Care
Services, Minda, Neami National, Mingle Co, Beneficent and Safe and Smart Care.
