Playford Community Carols returns to Fremont Park

The excitement is building as the City of Playford gets ready to present the 2023 Playford Community Carols on Saturday 2 December 2023.

The biggest outdoor concert of the year is back in Fremont Park after the 2022 event had been moved to X Convenience Oval in Elizabeth, while the new upgrade in the eastern part of Fremont Park was under construction.

Mayor Glenn Docherty said it was great to have Playford Community Carols back in its signature surroundings and to make the most of the new built-for-purpose event area.

“We had an absolute blast during the re-opening event at Fremont Park earlier this month and we want to continue that momentum with another successful event,” said Mayor Docherty.

“Mark your calendars and get ready to experience a Playford Christmas right at your doorstep."

A full program of entertainment will be released soon, but as always expect a long list of talented performers, the sound of sleigh bells, the man in red and the dazzling spectacle of late-night fireworks.

There will be plenty on offer for the young ones with dancing on the lawns with festive characters. The ever-popular Once Upon a Princess won't be fashionably late to this ball, and neither will the Snow Queen, who will enchant the audience with her rendition of ‘Let It Go’.

“We know how much our community loves this event- one of our most anticipated events on the annual events calendar. We look forward to bringing some Christmas cheer to Playford,” said Mayor Docherty.

Attendees can arrive from 5:00pm for pre-carols entertainment, such as music, face painting, Christmas market stalls and much more.
