Last year's City of Playford Australia Day Awards winners with City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty (centre). Who makes a real difference in your community? On Australia Day, the City of Playford recognises the outstanding achievements of community members and local heroes through the City of Playford Australia Day Awards. These awards acknowledge the valued work and commitment of our unsung heroes who give generously of their time and expertise to help others. You may know of the neighbour who volunteers in the community, the friend who never hesitates to give support and the colleague who endlessly encourages those around them. You may have experienced the many groups in the community that exist to lend a hand in various ways. Being nominated for an Australia Day Award is a great honour and is a wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to someone who makes you proud to be Australian. Help us to recognise and award these people and groups that you believe make the City of Playford a great place to live, work, play, build…. and grow. 2017 City of Playford Australia Day Award Categories Nominations close 5pm Friday 18 November, 2016.
