- New roundabout makes travel safer through key intersection
Works at the intersection in Kudla, on the border of the City of Playford and the Town of Gawler, have delivered a new 20-metre roundabout, upgraded street lighting and traffic channelisation to help manage vehicle speeds and improve safety.
Delivered by the City of Playford in partnership with the Town of Gawler and the Australian Government, the project supports this increasingly busy transport link and provides easier movement through the intersection for road users.
The upgrade was funded through a $1.987 million investment from the Australian Government’s Black Spot Program in 2024.
The project has been completed ahead of its original June 2026 timeframe, enabling commuters travelling through the Playford–Gawler region to use the roundabout now.

Almost $2 million has been provided by the Albanese Government to fix the Stebonheath/Dalkeith Roads intersection, and it is a credit to the determined local community, people like Steve Barilla, who for years on end kept at all levels of government to fix this intersection.
I am proud to be a member of the Albanese Government that is investing heavily in the infrastructure our community deserves.
