- Local playgrounds set for a refresh
Works at West Parkway Reserve in Andrews Farm will deliver new play equipment including a new multi-play tower, accessible carousel, new rubber soft fall surfacing and improved access to the existing swing set.
A second playground renewal will take place at Craigmore Park West, also known as Browne Circuit Reserve, with works to include a new multi-play tower, dual swing set, see saw and accessible play opportunities.
The renewal works will also include upgrades to surrounding park infrastructure, including resurfacing of the existing basketball court and a new irrigated turf space.
Mayor Glenn Docherty said the delivery of high-quality playgrounds helps strengthen community wellbeing as Playford continues to grow.
“Our parks and reserves are places where families create memories, children stay active and neighbours connect,” Mayor Docherty said.
“By upgrading these popular play spaces, we're making sure local families can continue to enjoy welcoming and accessible recreational areas close to where they live.”
Works will commence at both sites from next month, with temporary fencing in place and the playgrounds closed during construction. Both renewals are expected to be completed by September, weather permitting.
The renewals form part of Council’s broader program of playground and reserve improvements across Playford, helping to create inclusive, family-friendly spaces for residents to enjoy now and into the future.
