The 2018/19 Annual Business Plan outlines the services and programs Council will deliver to the community in the coming year.
The Annual Business Plan and Budget builds on the City of Playford’s Community Vision 2043 and our Strategic Plan and is critical to delivering our vision to build SA’s Next Great City.
City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty said that with an additional 40,000 residents forecast to live in Playford by 2036, we’re proudly leading the transformation of our City by attracting public and private investment of over $400 million and counting in the past two years.“We are continuing to develop our high-tech Health and Sports precincts as well as business and creative hubs,” Mayor Docherty said.
“Our CBD is being remodelled into an entertainment and cultural showpiece.”
The CBD of the North features:
- $45m Playford Arena
- New $50m hotel
- Restaurants, cafes and bars
- Community services
- Open green space
This year Council will invest tens of millions of dollars into new services, major projects and infrastructure.
Our $73.36m Capital Works Program is outlined, along with 16 new or enhanced services that will be introduced to improve livability across our City.
“Through budget savings we have streamlined services and adopted smarter approaches to operations, resulting in $10.2m of savings over 10 years,” Mayor Docherty said.
“Last year saw savings of $904,000, all of which is being reinvested into our community.
“We’re thankful for your input into our Budget and services and encourage all residents to continue to work with us on our projects and initiatives.
