The Adelaide-born actor and entertainer, best known for his role in the iconic TV series Packed to the Rafters, is bringing his trademark one-man showmanship to Playford.

Full of laughs and sing-alongs, Hugh will deliver Christmas favourites alongside some fresh new tunes, all wrapped in his award-winning stage presence.

Hugh recently announced to fans over social media the upcoming release of his very own Christmas album.

"I'm so excited to be a part of such a brilliant community event in my hometown for Christmas,” Hugh said.

"I can't wait to share my new Christmas single with everyone which will be out as a part of my Christmas Album in November!

"I know my family will be front row so come and join us all in my hometown for a carols event you'll never forget!"

Set under the summer night sky, this year’s Carols will feature a mix of Christmas classics, jazzy jingles and modern hits, creating an electric atmosphere for families and friends to enjoy together.

Mayor Glenn Docherty said Playford Community Carols was all about connection, joy and making memories with loved ones.

“We’re excited to welcome Hugh Sheridan to our stage and look forward to celebrating the season with our community.”

The free family-friendly event will feature more than just music. Visitors can wander through a market, filled with stalls offering handmade gifts, crafts and festive treasures — the perfect chance to pick up something unique for loved ones.

Meanwhile, Food Truck Alley will be buzzing with flavour, serving up a wide range of dinner options, tempting snacks and indulgent sweet treats. From savoury bites to favourites like chocolate strawberry cups and bubble tea, there will be something to satisfy every craving.

To cap off the evening, a spectacular fireworks finale will light up the sky.
