A brand-new location has brought a brand-new name for one of Playford’s favourite services, with the Playford Community Food Co-operative now the Healthy Food Co.

Located at 112 Coventry Road, Smithfield Plains, the Healthy Food Co. is continuing to inspire healthier communities by providing value-for-money food options.

The Healthy Food Co. rebranding was launched at its new home at The Precinct today.

“This community driven service prides itself on being innovative, committed, reliable and collaborative,” City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty said.

“The Healthy Food Co. provides healthy and affordable food and groceries readily available to our community. We are truly open to everyone and we really make eating well easy for all.”

This much-loved and important community service is serving the community in the same way it has since its inception.

All of the innovative services you’ve come to know, including the popular rewards systems and Easy Meal packs, remain in place.

Parking is available on site, while patrons can also use the 451 Adelaide Metro bus to access the site.

Disability access is prominent and the Healthy Food Co.’s operating hours remain 9.30am to 4.30am, Monday to Friday.

The Elizabeth Downs Playford Community Food Co-operative has also changed its name as part of the rebranding.

Additionally, the City of Playford is investigating opportunities to expand its reach to the community via The Precinct facilities.

The Playford Men’s Shed is based there, while the Playford Community Fund will continue to utilise the site for furniture construction projects.

Negotiations are also taking place with several other community organisations, with further tenants to be announced over coming months.
