Photo: PIRSA Flood-affected growers can apply for up to $10,000 financial support to reimburse flood recovery costs associated with the October incident.
PIRSA flood recovery officer John Pitt, who works from the Gawler River Flood Recovery Management Centre based in the Horticulture Centre in Virginia, said more than 100 applications had been received from primary producers seeking funding to help them return to production.

Facebook.com/SArecoveryinfopir.sa.gov.au/gawlerriverplainsfloodgrant “The grant program closes on Thursday, 13 April so there’s still time for anyone who is eligible and hasn’t yet applied, to get their application in,” Mr Pitt said. “There is a criteria for application and we do require evidence to show that the landholders were in production at the time of the flood and that they have undertaken flood clean-up work, which was not covered by insurance.”
