Nothing shouts Australia Day celebrations like one of the biggest free barbecue breakfasts in Adelaide.

The City of Playford will be serving up to 3,000 hot breakfasts and 1,500 fresh fruit salads on Saturday 26 January of the long weekend.

The annual event brings beach vibes to Fremont Park with the opportunity to feel the sand between your toes, and recline with the family listening to some summer music.

Australia Day festivities will celebrate Playford’s people and multicultural values, featuring local entertainment and the Australia Day Awards recognising our community heroes.

The traditional Australia Day citizenship ceremony will welcome 80 new Australian citizens from across the globe, who now call Playford home.

There will be plenty for the family to see and do with rides for the daredevils, beach cricket, music and the opportunity to get creative building your own sandcastle masterpiece.

The celebrations will be held at Fremont Park, Elizabeth on Saturday 26 January (8am to 12noon).
