Have you always wanted to explore the Australian landscape? Now you can at this FREE family event.

On Saturday, 26 August ‘Escape to Everywhere’ with a FREE family fun event from 10am until 1pm. Get out and explore the great Australian landscape, just like Grace and her family from Alison Lester's book ‘Are we there yet?'.

The book is based on the author's own childhood journey around Australia. The event will include a meet and greet with the author Alison Lester, the Rodney Fox shark display, live animals, wildflower making and more. The event has been organised by United Way, with the assistance of the Playford Library.United Way's Kerry Davies said the event gives families the opportunity to undertake a ‘journey’ around Australia and have fun with activities that the Lester family enjoyed. “Alison and her family created all the artwork for the book and we are delighted to have these on display at the Playford Civic Centre Great Hall in the week leading up to the family FREE event on Saturday ‘Escape to everywhere’,” Ms Davies said.
