Photos: Rob McLean It’s 20 years since the Easter Bunny started his annual hop around the local area with the support of City of Playford staff.Staff member Daryl Welsh, who has a close relationship with the festive bunny, said it’s a wonderful Playford tradition that is much-loved by the community.The tour has grown since it started in the days of the former Elizabeth City Council, with Easter Bunny now getting around the Playford area in a golf buggy and visiting a number of nursing homes along the way. Daryl said the residents love their annual visit.“When they see us walk in, they really enjoy it, Daryl said.Meanwhile, Daryl said the kids of Playford are even more excited when they bump into the Easter Bunny as he hops around.“It’s great for the community and that’s what we’re here for,” he said.The Easter Bunny visited Playford Town Park, the Playford Civic Centre, Grenville Community Connections Hub and Canterbury Close and Resthaven Craigmore nursing homes.
