State Government to upgrade Curtis Road black spot at Angle Vale.

State Government to upgrade Curtis Road black spot at Angle Vale. The State Government’s Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure is set to upgrade the Angle Vale Road intersection with Curtis and McGee roads.

DPTI said the safety project involves the realignment of Curtis Road at Penfield Gardens to create a staggered T-junction.

The State Government road upgrade will also include:

Installation of a sheltered right-turn lane on Angle Vale Road for traffic turning into Curtis Road;

Upgraded street lighting at the new Angle Vale Road junction with Curtis Road;

Upgraded street lighting at the new Angle Vale Road junction with Curtis road;

Asphalt resurfacing and new pavement marking.

The works are being conducted with funding from the Australian Government’s Black Spot Program.

Traffic will still be able to use the road, although some restrictions may apply.
