Local history will take front seat at an ideas-sharing event to be held at the Stretton Centre this week.
Local history enthusiasts are being urged to attend a meeting to discuss the next South Australia’s History Festival, which will be held in May next year.
History SA will be hosting an ideas exchange at the City of Playford’s Stretton Centre, at which participants can share plans, as well as learn how they can get involved in the annual celebration of the state’s heritage.
City of Playford heritage co-ordinator Daina Pocius said anyone interested in local history can attend the event, particularly if they, or their community group, are interested in hosting an event for South Australia’s History Festival.
“This is an ideas-sharing event in preparation for the annual History Festival in May,” Ms Pocius said.
“People who would like to take part and are after ideas, or people who have taken part and can share what has worked for them, are all welcome at this session run by History SA.”
The event will be held from 9:30am to midday at the Stretton Centre, Munno Para, Friday, 2 December.
