One Tree Hill has hit back with a bang in the latest round of Para District grade one cricket, having lost its last match.

Anthony Klitogiannis was the star as One Tree Hill knocked Parafield Gardens all over the field for 244.The brilliance of Klitogiannis’ 142 was highlighted by the fact the next highest score was Jed Banwell’s 27, batting at number 10.

At 7/77 and 8/106, the Billiegoats were in all sorts of strife, but then Klitogiannis found a support in Banwell to record a 104-run partnership.

He then formed a 35-run alliance for the 10th-wicket with Adam Walter (4*) as he completed his one-man wrecking mission, the last man dismissed.

In the other game where the scores have been uploaded, Salisbury West made 9/229 and had Central United 1/0 at stumps.

Central United were in a reasonable position, having the Tigers 8/175, but they let them get away with 54 runs from the last two partnerships.

It was the old firm of Brad Woodward (3/62) and Johnny Ritzema (4/87) who got the wickets.

Angle Vale and Craigmore, along with Virginia and ATCO are the round’s others games. Other highlights:

Two Wells is just shy of first-innings points in grade two, finishing 4/105 – just three runs short of Salisbury West.

Riverside has Angle Vale in all sorts of trouble in grade 2, having them 6/15 in pursuit of 170.

Grade 3 has Smithfield already ahead, having dismissed North Pines for just 54, while Craigmore’s in a similar position, with Enfield United rolled for 87.

Also in grade three, One Tree Hill scored 161 and has Parafield Gardens 4/16.

Jake Edwards took a career best 5/59 for Angle Vale in grade four as One Tree Hill made 183.

Bert Pearce will be ruing one run in his grade six match for Craigmore against Salisbury West, being dismissed for 99.
