Do you have a puppy or a pet that needs registering or microchipping in Playford?
There’s nothing worse than coming home and finding your beloved pet has slipped its collar and escaped.
The best way to track your pooch or puss and ensure its safe return is by microchipping – a quick and painless procedure and, soon, a very cheap option for anyone on an aged or disability support pension.
The City of Playford has joined forces with local company ChipBlitz to offer a $10 microchipping day at the Grenville Community Connections Hub in Elizabeth at the end of the month.
New State Government laws mean it’s now compulsory to microchip all dogs and cats in South Australia, however according to Mayor Glenn Docherty this deal extends to many other animal species for Playford pet owners – including rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets.
“This is a great incentive for our residents and their fur babies, so we encourage everyone with an Aged or Disability Support pension card to book their spot at the Grenville Hub,” Mayor Docherty said.
