Preliminary Advice

Why Contact Us for Preliminary Advice?

If you're unsure if you need to complete a Development Application to begin your development, our doors and lines are always open if you wish to talk to us about what you want to do. Our helpful Planning and Building Officers can assist you through the process of gaining a development approval.

In some cases, there may be specific requirements in Council's Development Plan or in the National Construction Code that your proposal will need to meet. Our officers will give you advice in the likelihood of your Development Application needing these extra requirements.

Dividing land is becoming an increasingly popular trend which creates additional housing in established suburbs around Playford. Land-division requirements can vary depending on the zoning of the property; our planning department can help assist you with the requirements for dividing your land, as well as other factors which may impact on the likelihood of the land’s ability to be divided.
