Ali Elder

Ali is a research specialist and project designer for the City of Playford. She is a co-author of the Playford Youth – A New Story report which underpins the project design of the Playford 10 Project. Ali has worked across local and state government and the private sectors, as well as an academic researcher at the University of South Australia. When Ali was 10 she played hockey and netball. She was interested in music and loved to ride her bike… everywhere.

Georgina Pearce

Georgina has worked in arts, youth and community development for the past 17 years. She currently works for the City of Playford co-designing Playford 10 with Year 4/5 students. Georgina is known for her work in alternative education, and has worked as City of Playford Youth Development Officer for the past 10 years. She brings with her an excellent knowledge of local government, the Playford community and project management skills. When Georgina was 10 she was a Girl Guide, did Surf Life Saving, drama and karate. She loved camping, dancing and surfing on the weekend.

Catherine Earl

Catherine studied a Bachelor of Arts (Gender and Labour Studies), later building on these interests with a post-graduate qualification in social work. After graduating with honours, Catherine worked as a social worker in youth services before winning an industry scholarship to study a PhD in the area of youth transitions and casual work. Catherine now combines her interests in social change and community services with her research and advocacy skills at the South Australian Council of Social Service, where she is a Senior Policy, Advocacy and Community Engagement Officer. In this role she leads the organisation’s policy and advocacy in the areas of Child and Family Wellbeing, Health and Aboriginal Affairs. When Catherine was 10 she played cards and board games. She was interested in rollerblading and riding her bike. She loved to have sleep-overs with friends and camp out.
