Home Assist

The Home Assist Program offers a range of in-home services for eligible residents to assist them to maintain their independence in their own homes by providing one off or short term services and referral.

Home Assist is jointly funded by the Office of the Ageing through their Home and Community Care program and the City of Playford.

Home Assist is eligible to those who are aged, physically frail, have a permanent disability or are carers of people in these categories.

Staff will determine eligibility for support and develop a service plan that address the client's needs, circumstances and health and safety risks.

The provision of these services depends on available resources.

Home Assist services do not include financial support and people are required to meet the cost of all material.

The program aims to reduce the cost of labour for specific services to help maintain a healthy and safe environment for eligible people in the community.

All services are provided on an assessed need and not on the person's ability to pay. Fees for services will be discussed prior to commencement. For information on fees please phone the Home Assist office on 8256 0355.

Some services are in high demand and there may be a waiting list.

Please read the information below for further information.
