Playford Community Food Co-operative
Providing low cost nutritional food and essential grocery items, the Playford Community Food Co-ops are available to all of the community. The Co-ops provide a range of food products and grocery items at reasonable prices.
Information and demonstrations on low budget meal preparation, nutritional meals and household budget advice are available. Pre-packed meal kits containing all the ingredients and recipe to make a range of economical meals are available as well as helpful staff on hand to assist with purchases.
Cooking classes can be individually arranged at the Smithfield Plains Food Co-op to suit groups needs.
Residents can obtain benefits from the Playford Community Food Co-ops by becoming a member.
Healthy eating and budget advice is also available from the Food Co-ops.
Become a Member
By becoming a member there are benefits available to the shopper.
Members of the Co-ops receive a 5% bonus on purchases. This bonus can be spent at any time by the shopper. For example, you can save this to allow you to spend at the Co-ops for Christmas time or in that off pay week.
Simply pay a $10 membership fee which can be paid on joining, or deducted from your dividend as it accrues.
