Youth Services

The City of Playford has a strong and vibrant community of young people and we believe it is a great place for young people to live, work and play.  There are a whole range of activities and programs available for young people to get involved in.

The City of Playford has created a Youth Plan with the community with the vision ‘young people have the power to make what they want happen’ (City of Playford YAC) to read the full plan and direction till 2016 please click on the link to your left.

There are many youth services that operate from the City of Playford these services meet regularly, work on projects together and connect through the Playford Youth network.

City of Playford Youth Plan 2011 - 2016

This Youth Plan provides Council and the community with a framework and direction in relation to local young people over the next five years. It builds upon the many programs and initiatives that are currently being run by Council. The plan outlines Council’s commitment to working in partnership with young people, youth services, Schools and other key stakeholders.

In the development of this plan we engaged with:

• local youth services around how Council partners and connects
• consulted with all City of Playford staff that are responsible for delivering previous strategy aims
• There was also a large scale youth Engagement which included a Youth Forum called ‘Loud Actions’ involving 100 young people who live in the City of Playford
