To report a broken or damaged footpath please contact Customer Care (08) 8256 0333, send an email to Playford@playford.sa.gov.au or log a request online via e-pathway
Each request is individually inspected and assessed then placed on a program of works based on their condition rating (including severity of damage) and/or the specific needs of the community. In the event that the damage is rated as minor, the request will be placed onto a register with works to be programmed as funding is made available.
Council is responsible for the maintenance of footpaths throughout the City of Playford. Individuals, contractors or organisations carrying out works are required to notify Council in writing. The footpath is to be reinstated to a standard that is compliant to Council's specifications. If you would like further information about work undertaken on Underground Services within our city please click here
Council has allocated $350,000 in the 2011/12 financial year for the installation of new footpaths. This program of works will target those areas where there are missing sections of footpaths. This program will connect those missing sections.
Footpaths are installed in new subdivisions once the area street is complete. If you have recently built a home and are in the process of landscaping your front yard and would like to know which side of the street the footpath will be on, you can log a customer request.
Footpaths are usually 1.2metres wide and, where practical, are placed immediately abutting the kerb. Domestic irrigation and drainage may be altered if necessary when the footpath is insalled but they will be reinstated before practical completion of the site is achieved. Property owners / occupiers of the residence will be advised in writing (at least 48 hours in advance) before the footpath is installed.
