Footpaths

Report a Damaged Footpath

To report a broken or damaged footpath you can submit a request online, call Council on (08) 8256 0333, or email us at playford@playford.sa.gov.au.

Each request is individually inspected and assessed then placed on a program of works based on their condition rating (including severity of damage) and/or the specific needs of the community.  In the event that the damage is rated as minor, the request will be placed onto a register with works to be programmed as funding is made available.

Request for New Footpath

If you have recently built a home and are in the process of landscaping your front yard and would like to know which side of the street the footpath will be on, please do not hesitate to submit a request online.

Footpaths are usually 1.2 to 1.5 metres wide. Property owners / occupiers of the residence will be advised in writing (at least 48 hours in advance) before the footpath is installed.

Footbridges

There are approximately 50 footbridges located within the Playford area. These bridges are of various types of construction, ranging from permapine through to concrete and steel.

Footbridge repair requests are individually inspected and assessed then placed on a program of works based on their condition rating.

Footpath Damage Caused by Contractors or Organisations

Individuals, contractors or organisations who carry out works will need to notify Council in writing, and footpaths will need to be reinstated to Council's specifications. If you would like further information about work undertaken on Underground Services within our city please click here.
