City of Playford.... a great place to live, work and play

Playford Community Christmas Carols

Santa’s Workshop elves are busy preparing to host one of Australia’s finest vocalists for the 2017 Playford Community Christmas Carols.

ARIA Award winner, Anthony Callea will wow Fremont Park crowds with his powerful, passionate and pure voice, singing your favourite Christmas carols, as well as debuting some new singles at the Saturday, 2 December event.

Joining Callea will be Adelaide singer/songwriter, Rachael Leahcar, while Adelaide’s leading gospel choir, the 14-piece vocal ensemble Gospo Collective, which mixes African-rhythm with western harmonies, will also perform.

There will be much entertainment for the kids, with the Boomstars, the Amazing Drumming Monkeys and Ellie Elf all appearing.

City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty said the 2017 Playford Community Christmas Carols will be the biggest yet.

“It will be an evening jam-packed with quality entertainment, with some of Australia’s and Adelaide’s top performers for the whole family to enjoy,” Mayor Docherty said.

“We can’t wait to get into the festive spirit and celebrate what a wonderful year it has been here in Playford.”

The evening will end under the stars with a visit from the big man in red and a firework spectacular.

So it’s time to warm up your vocal cords so you’re ready to sing the night away at the Playford Community Christmas Carols.
